About the Role You’ll be one of 3 GPs , paired with a team of nurses to work on either Acute Care/UCC , CDM, or Women’s & Children’s Health . ⚕️ One of NT’s busiest remote community clinics - no two days are the same. When it’s busy, it’s all hands on deck, but with strong support it’s also a great place to sharpen and expand your skills. Around 20 nurses are on site across programs, including RANs who staff acute and manage the on-call roster. Additional support of telehealth GPs , plus visiting specialists and allied health teams. A weekly outreach service to surrounding outstations - a rare chance to practise true community medicine and build deeper connections with country and culture. About the Location Maningrida (pop approx 3,000) is the largest remote community in NT. Set on the Liverpool River in the heart of Arnhem Land, it is surrounded by pristine wetlands and fishing grounds. Amenities include 2 supermarkets, a café serving espresso & bushfood-inspired meals, plus a 25m swimming pool and sports facilities. Known worldwide for its Indigenous art centre , weaving, and sculpture, making it a hub of cultural expression. On weekends, locals are happy to take doctors fishing - a great way to immerse yourself in the culture and experience the warmth of this welcoming community.
